Meet the team

sue_wSue Savege
Director

Sue joined the organisation in Summer 2008, following a career in outdoor and adventure tourism. As a professional mountaineering instructor Sue has extensive experience of working in protected landscapes worldwide. Sue worked for many years at the National Mountaineering Centre and following this set up her own outdoor publishing company, winning the Welsh Tourist Board Award for 'New Tourism Entrepreneur'.

Office Manager & Membership Coordinator

Sarah has been with the organisation since Autumn 2003, joined after finishing a degree in Tourism, Leisure & Management at the University of Central Lancashire.
As well as looking after the smooth running of the office Sarah is responsible for keeping our hundreds of members up to date and in touch.

Corporate Fundraiser

Tiff joined the organisation in May 2009 to support our members and projects in their fundraising initiatives. Tiffany has extensive experience of marketing and sales from working for multinational companies and from starting up and running her own small business. Paddington, her black Labrador, is a faithful supporter of Tiff and the team.

Conservation Projects Officer

Lin joined the organisation in April 2008. She manages our project information and looks after the smooth running of the grants administration and provides fundraising support for members. A graduate from Leiden University in the Netherlands, she worked as a research assistant in various organisations until her love of the Great Outdoors inspired her move to our beautiful Lake District.

Sustainable Tourism Adviser - Love Your Lakes

Ruth joined the team in November 2009 to lead on the 'Love Your Lakes' project. Ruth also volunteers as a lengthsman for Fix the Fells and has a background in Environmental and Outdoor Education.

Marketing and Communications Officer

Keira joined the organisation in November 2009 and shares her time with the Fix the Fells project. Keira worked for the National Trust in Buttermere for six years before joining the team at Nurture Lakeland.

 

 

amy_m_wAmy McLoughlin
Sustainable Tourism Adviser

Amy joined the team in 2009, as the Partnership's first ever apprentice, after completing her degree in Tourism and Leisure Management. Amy helps deliver the Love Your Lakes campaign, offers our members Sustainable Tourism advisory visits and has recently been working on the Car Reduction scheme.
