World Tourism Day 2010
Monday 27th September
This year's World Tourism Day is celebrating the International Year of Biodiversity and how the two can successfully be interlinked. Nurture Lakeland are celebrating the day and all the achievements we have made over the past 17 years.
Love Your Lakes
Lakeland Trails (5 September)
Love Your Lakes will be attending this year's Lakeland Trails at Keswick. Find us along Derwentwater, celebrating PUMA Derwentwater Trail Race. We will be giving away lots of free goodies, including free environmentally friendly washing up liquid and fridge magents. We will be raising awareness amongst contestants and their friends and family about the importance of looking after our lakes by reducing our environmental impact.
Love your Lakes at Bassenthwaite Reflections Festival
(15 – 18 September)
Bassenthwaite Reflections are holding an exciting festival to celebrate their fantastic community engagement and environmental education work they have been doing over recent years. Love your Lakes will be holding 'Be a Scientist' workshops for children at the festival, demonstrating the fascinating science behind our lakes water!

Borrowdale Show (19 September)
Love your Lakes will be attending the Borrowdale Show on Sunday 19 September. The team behind the water quality improvement campaign will be raising awareness about the importance of minimising our impact on our local lakes we all love to enjoy. Over the event, Love your Lakes will be educating people about how easy it is to protect our lakes simply by choosing washing machine and laundry detergents that don’t contain phosphates. If you’re going, look out for us and pick up your free fridge magnet with a list of what products you can use to love your lakes!
Cumbria Green Build Festival 2010
11 – 26 September
Cumbria Green Build aims to show the public, business and communities what has already been achieved within the county and inspire them make changes themselves.
Flora of the Fells Festival 2010
