Nurture Eden Celebrates @ Rheged 18th of July

As many of you are aware, Nurture Lakeland have been expanding their dedicated offer of responsible tourism support and promotion into the Eden Valley area for the last couple of years, via funding from the DEFRA and the Rural Development Agency.

The success of Nurture Eden to date will be celebrated at Rheged on the 18th of July from 10.30am via a series of workshops, stalls and speakers - all committed to creating Eden as the must visit green destination of the UK.

Workshops include Marketing and Social Media, Visitor Giving, Nurture Eden products and Cycling Eden. Each workshop theme has been explored in previous Nurture Eden events and has proven beneficial and popular amongst the range of tourism businesses who attended. The workshop format will allow businesses to recap on previous learning, check outstanding actions and ask for specific advice and tips to suit the needs of their business. Attending businesses can choose the workshop they are most interested in and gain some food for thought for next year's post summer priorities!

After the workshops, businesses will enjoy a long networking lunch in the Mountain Gallery area of Rheged. In addition to lunch and networking opportunities, Nurture Eden has asked a range of partners and Nurture members to display their services to demonstrate their contributions toward a Green Eden. Join us to access info from Blue Badge Guides, Eden Tourism Team, Eden Arts, Cumbria Action for Sustainability and Visitor Giving beneficiary Culgaith Tarn. As explored in previous Nurture events, Eden tourism businesses will benefit from longer bookings and additional referrals and recommendations by celebrating Eden's local offer and distinctiveness. The selected stalls each have a range of services and events tourism business can link with to benefit and enhance the experience of your visitor, so don't miss out!

This event will also allow businesses to pick up their pre ordered Nurture Eden trails. The trails certainly show off the best that Eden has to offer, follow this link for a sneak preview......

Contact Helen@nurturelakeland to book your event place and to pre order a selection of trail leaflets for your visitors. To ensure we maximise the benefit of these trails we ask that businesses select the trails which are relevant to their area :-) We're also really pleased to report that the trails have been printed on recycled paper via Carbon Neutral printers, H&H Reed so don't feel too guilty when placing your order!
