How do I join in with Visitor Payback?

There are two avenues you can choose to go down, each with their own benefits.

You can choose to:

• Become a Full Business Nurture Lakeland member OR
• Become an Associate Fundraiser

Full membership brings a wide range of benefits and can cost as little as £50 per year, for a small business. (Cost is based on your annual turnover). Not only do you get to raise money for your chosen project, but you get a free sustainable tourism advisory service, that would cost non members £110. This service can show you how to save even more money, by making just a few simple changes to your operations.

Associate Fundraising costs nothing to set up or run and allows you to benefit from the fantastic publicity opportunities and be kept in the loop with all the latest from your chosen project and what we're up to.

Personal Visit

Once you have registered with us in one of these two ways, we will come and see you and talk you through the projects we have on our books, so you can choose which one you'd like to fundraise for and then arrange which type of Visitor Payback system you'd like to run.

We will answer any questions you have and make sure that your journey into VP is smooth and simple.

Guestlink Booking System

It's worth mentioning at this point, that if you are an accomodation provider registered with Cumbria Tourism's Go Lakes website, you can use the Guestlink booking system to add "Opt-in" to your booking process, very easily and at no cost.

Cumbria Tourism (CT) no longer has gold & platinum members so any CT member who is using the booking website can operate opt-in, should they choose to.

You can follow some very simple steps to add the feature to the booking process which you can download here.

These instructions mean you can update your online booking with no need to go back to your website provider to make complicated and costly alterations. It can be done in minuites, by you, for free, right now!
