At the Lake District Calvert Trust, we specialise in activity breaks for groups, schools and other organisations. We also run plenty of courses for individuals and families throughout the year. Our fully-accessible Centre is AALS-licensed, we are a registered BCU, RYA, BHS, RDA, and MLTE-approved training establishment, and all of our activities are supervised and led by fully-qualified instructors who are specially trained to work with those with even the most severe and profound of physical, sensory and/or learning disabilities.

All of our activity courses are led by ‘designated’ group instructors who remain with the group throughout the whole of their stay with us. The instructors thus gain detailed knowledge of the abilities of each client, and can therefore help everyone to achieve a measure of success. Our courses are custom-designed to fulfill the specific aims and objectives of our visitors, and will typically include a range from the following activities available
