Helvellyn YHA ^Featured

Approached by a 0.75-mile track from the village of Glenridding, YHA Helvellyn is in an isolated and peaceful spot, 900 feet above sea level. Enjoy a hike up Helvellyn or the surrounding peaks or, for less strenuous walking, try the scenic lakeshore paths around Ullswater. Steam boat trips on the lake are also popular.

The track to the hostel is suitable for cars and minibuses (in bad weather extra care must be taken as the approach to the hostel can be difficult) but the track is not suitable for coaches. Please contact the hostel for more details.
