Cash from Clothes Helps our Hills.

george fisher montane donation 005"All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking" according to Nietzsche and who knows if Andy from George Fisher and Pete from Montane dreamt up their plan in the hills but, for sure, their great idea is going to benefit our upland landscape. £5 from the sales of each item of Montane clothing sold at George Fisher for a limited period earlier this year has resulted in a fabulous donation of £500 for the Fix the Fells project.

But it's not only about the money. The promotion has raised awareness of the problems our fells face from the pressures of the huge number of walkers and outdoor recreationists who use our upland paths every year. By educating this prime audience about the impacts of their activities we can inspire them to get involved in helping protect the fells they love to visit, whether that's through a cash donation or simply by understanding the need to take care about where they place their feet. And that's the beauty of Visitor Giving - it has multiple benefits for businesses, landscape and visitors.
