Castlerigg Hall wins Holiday Park of the Year 2009

06/10/09

Our Gold supporting members Castlerigg Hall (Keswick) have been awarded the Holiday Park of the Year at the annual Cumbria Tourism Awards 2009.

The Northwest Regional Development Agency support the awards and most business category winners will now go forward and represent Cumbria in the England's Northwest Tourism Awards later this year.

Castlerigg Hall Caravan and Camping Park received an award last year from us at the Tourism and Conservation Partnership, recognising their conservation work.

Over the past few years Castlerigg Hall have been actively encouraging more wildlife to the site. They've installed red squirrel feeding boxes, bird boxes and bug boxes. Wild deer, red squirrels, badgers, owls, ospreys and lots of butterflies have all been sited at the campsite thanks to their efforts. They also continue to support our footpath repair projects. Keep up the great work!
