Penrith & District Red Squirrel Group

squirrel1Penrith & District Red Squirrel Group (P&DRSG) is run by local volunteers and the project is a conservation initiative seeking to protect and maintain the existing and widespread red squirrel population. Everyone loves these fluffy, little creatures and visitors are more than happy to donate through Visitor Giving to help look after the iconic red squirrel.

 

Culgaith Tarnculgaith

The tarn covers and area of 4 acres and is a registered village green. This community-inspired project aims to create a well-managed open space with access for all, increasing biodiversity on the site and providing a fantastic learning resource for local schools. Art and sculpture workshops will engage and educate local children.
